Viisiting Tibet is required to obtain a Tibet travel permit . This document functions as a visa which authorizes entry to Tibet and to stay for a specified period. The regulations regarding the requirements for entry have recently changed.
The new requirements are:
1. Groups are required to be of 5 or more persons with the same nationality.
2. All group members are required to enter Tibet from a same destination on the same flight/train/vehicle on the same date.
